Inspiration

Dark Blue is a bespoke sideboard designed to feel like a warm summer night — deep, calm, and quietly magnetic. The dark blue surface has a subtle electric sheen that changes with the light, making the piece feel alive from morning to late evening. Across the front, the flowing lines gather toward each brass handle, like gentle currents meeting in one point — a detail that pulls the eye and anchors the whole room.
On top, the glass surface layers cool stone tones with warm gold veining — a luxurious contrast that makes Dark Blue read as both modern and timeless. Place it in a living room and it doesn’t just “fit” — it becomes the focal point: refined, confident, and unmistakably handcrafted. Designed and made in London for interiors that deserve a signature piece.

Materials & Finishes

Dark Blue is designed and developed by Eugene Zalan as a one-off, signature piece. The sculpted front is built around a custom pattern created in-house and translated into a crisp, tactile relief — a detail you recognise instantly, but can’t replicate without the original. The exterior is finished in a deep, night-blue paint with a subtle metallic glow, chosen for its clean, durable feel and refined light response.
The top is a bespoke glass surface with an onyx-and-gold marbling artwork created exclusively for this piece. Brass legs add a warm architectural lift, while the handles are crafted from Murano glass with golden accents, catching light like small, controlled sparks. Inside, the structure is finished in walnut veneer — calm, warm, and quietly luxurious.
